National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

September 30, 2021 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, in order to honor this important day The Salvation Army Thrift Store and Food Bank will be closed. The discovery of children’s graves at former Residential Schools is deeply tragic, and we stand in solidarity with the Indigenous Peoples of Canada. The Salvation Army is committed to supporting equity, diversity, justice and inclusion in all of our ministries. May we continue to “walk gently” with Indigenous Peoples as we work toward a future based on dignity and trust.
